Oertner named CL girls basketbal MVP

Northern Lehigh's Aimee Oertner was named the Colonial League girls basketball Most Valuable Player.

Oertner was one of three area players to earn spots on the 2011-12 Colonial League First Team.

Joining her were Sara Jones of Northwestern and Kelsey Hay of Palmerton.

The Bulldogs' Tina Bastardi, the Tigers' Sabrina Mertz, and the Bombers' Jade Farquhar all received honorable mention recognition.
