March 19, 2000 Tamaqua's Andy Breiner registers a pin over Jason Woodall of Pittston in the annual Challenge of Champions wrestling match. The event pits the state's top AA wrestlers against ones from AAA. Breiner, who was a third-place finisher at Hershey at 152 pounds, trails by a 5-4 score before gaining a fall of Woodall, the AAA runner-up, at the 5:54 mark. Jim Thorpe's Mike Wernett, who finished fourth at states at 160, also competed in the Challenge and drops a 10-5 decision to Woodall's brother, James.
