St. Matthew's Easter schedule
Holy Week at St. Matthew's UCC in Kunkletown begins with Palm Sunday on Sunday, April 1 at 9 a.m.
The church will host a Maundy Thursday covered-dish dinner at 6:30 p.m. on April 5. If you attend, please bring a covered dish or dessert with you. The Rev. Suzanne Brooks-Cope will be leading a dramatic telling of the Passion with the help of several parishioners beginning at 7:30 p.m.
On Saturday, April 7, there will be a Children's Easter Egg Hunt in the picnic grove at 2 p.m. If there is inclement weather, it will be held in the church social hall. Please consider donating hard boiled eggs for the hunt or candy-filled plastic ones. Donations may be dropped off at the church on Friday, April 6 between 9 a.m.-1 p.m. or by noon on Saturday, April 7.
Sunday, April 8, Resurrection Sunday will begin with a Sunrise Service at 6:30 a.m. in the picnic grove. There will be an Easter breakfast in the social hall at 7:30 a.m. Then there will be an Easter Communion service at 9 a.m.
Everyone is invited to attend any and all of these events and services.
Cemetery clean up
St. Matthew's UCC will be holding a cleanup in the cemetery on Saturday, April 14. It asks that all graves be cleared of all flowers and decorations to prepare for the mowing season. All items left will be thrown away.
