Senior citizens
The Tamaqua Seniors met April 26 at the Tamaqua Community Center with 80 members in attendance. Two new members, Evelyn Bass and Mike Trubilla were welcomed.
Vice President Nancy Gerber conducted the business session and provided her weekly report. Rose Vallee provided the invocation, entitled "Thanksgiving." Secretary Joan Anne Garber provided her report. Vern Balliet and Jane Tartar were added to the sick list.
The meeting concluded with cards and social games.
The group meets every Thursday, at 1 p.m., at the community center. Anyone 55 or older is welcome to join. The center is handicap accessible.
Class of 1992
The Tamaqua Area High School Class of 1992 is planning its 10th anniversary reunion and organizers are in need of contact information for several classmates.
Among the "missing" are Sherri Erbe, Justin Motz, Anthony Moyer, Constance Murphy, Philip Navitsky, Michele Smith and Roger Wagner.

WP softball
The West Penn Girls Softball Association is accepting applications from girls 16 and under to play for a new team, which will begin action in June.

Zion Lewistown
The Rev. Sunny Stock will officiate at the 10:45 a.m. worship service this Sunday in Zion Church in the Lewistown Valley. Rogation Sunday will be observed and the service will include communion. Sunday school will meet at 9:30 a.m.
A joint consistory meeting will be held at 7:30 p.m. on May 9.
