Jim Thorpe and Palmerton both suffered a pair of losses on the diamond Monday.

Blue Mountain-Jim Thorpe

Jim Thorpe kept the contest scoreless for the first four innings, but Blue Mountain's offense came to life late to get a 7-1 Schuylkill League victory.

Dane Ciavarella had two hits and Bryce Micciche added a hit and an RBI for the Olympians.

Pen Argyl-Palmerton

Pen Argyl avenaged an early season upset at the hands of Palmerton by posting a 5-1 Colonial League victory. The game was called after five innings because of rain.

Back in early April, the Green Knights suffered their lone league loss to the Bombers.

Jay Young paced the Green Knights with two singles and two runs scored.

CJ Cressman led the Bombers with a single and a run scored.

Palmerton slips to 4-10 in the league. Pen Argyl improves to 13-1.

Palmerton committed eight errors in a 17-1 Colonial League loss to Pen Argyl.

The only bright spot on the day for the Bombers was a first inning solo homerun from Janell Tracy.

With the loss Palmerton drops to 15-4 overall and 11-4 in the CL.

Blue Mountain took control with a big second inning and cruised to a 12-2 Schuylkill League victory over Jim Thorpe.

Joy Mallory and Jasmyn Strohl had the only hits for the Olympians.

Lorie Ayache fired a three-hit shutout as Catasauqua beat Norterhn Lehigh, 8-0, in a rain-shortened Colonial League game.

Shannon Weil, Kaelah Horwath and Amber Thomas accounted for the Bulldog hits.

Northern Lehigh falls to 6-12 overall and 4-11 in the CL.

Cassandra Palmer managed to sneak in a goal in the second half to give the Warriors a 1-0 Colonial League win over the Lady Bulldogs (3-14-1) on Saturday.

Northern Lehigh actually outshot the Warriors 11-3, but Wilson goalie Alesha Seifert had 10 saves. Nolehi goalie Kaylee Owens had two saves.
