At the plate, he helps his own cause by collecting two hits and scoring two runs. His batterymate, Den Boyle, finishes with three hits, four runs scored, and knocks in four runs while Bill Sakusky adds three hits, including a two-run double and a two-run triple. Jerry Fulmer chips in with two hits, one of them a two-run single while Ed Perhonitch adds a couple of hits.
