Memorial Day service

There will be a Memorial Day service on Monday, May 28 at 11 a.m. at the Veterans' Monument at the Eldred Township municipal building organized by the Eldred Township Veterans Commission.

All are welcome to attend.

Pleasant Valley Ecumenical Network is asking for donations of peanut butter, crackers and soup and any other nonperishable food items.

If you would like to help, you can drop these items off at St. Matthew's UCC during office hours on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. and Sunday mornings from 8:30-11:30 a.m.

Bible study

The Rev. Suzanne Brooks-Cope of St. Matthew's UCC will be holding a Bible study of the "Parables: Stories for Life in God's World" on Tuesday nights in June and parts of July at 7 p.m.
