The dawning of the Age of Aquarius
Dear Editor:
There are deep-rooted myths within the ancient tribes of the world which describe a cataclysmic flood engulfed the whole earth. These flood myths are recorded from Egypt to Australia, and they all have these things in common. The whole earth was filled with a corrupt civilization, and a Supreme deity got very angry at the world of man and destroyed nearly every living thing on the planet. It's also recorded in the Bible during the time of Noah in the book of Genesis. The Supreme God warned righteous Noah and his family of the flood and told them to build an ark. They stayed safe within the ark that God told them to build as the floods came and destroyed the inhabitants of the whole earth. After the waters receded, Noah's family then replenished the earth.
Could this have happened? Believers of the Bible say yes. Researchers have documented dozens of almost identical mythologies of the flood story in the Babylonian and Assyrian flood myths. Geologists and other scientists have evidence of a global flood in the fossil record, along with a lot more evidence that water once covered the earth. What caused this mystery of an event that occurs over the course of thousands of 1,000's of years? The Greeks call this the "Great Year," the Mayan called it "The Long Count," and other ancients refer to it as the "Procession of the Equinox."
The ancients used very sophisticated data in their calculations, much more advanced and precise than ours. They chartered cyclic changes that they developed into the most accurate calendar ever known to exist. Remarkably, this calendar has remained perform over the last 4,000 years. They had predicted, most profoundly, that their calendar will stop on December 21, 2012 at 11:11 Universal time.
The earth wobbles like a spinning top; spinning round and round while traveling on a track that takes 25,920 years to complete. The Mayan's ancient texts claim that this "end of the track" will end the current age and begin a new one when a supreme deity returns to destroy the world with water.
The Egyptians and the Greeks discovered that the North Pole points to all of the star constellations of the zodiac as it sweeps through the "Great Year" every 2500 years. It points to a different constellation like a giant hour hand on a giant cosmic clock face. Now that this "Great year is coming to a close, the star constellation that the North Pole will be pointing to on 12-21-2012 will be Aquarius. It just so happens that we are entering the Age of Aquarius. Do you remember the song by the 5th Dimension? Aquarius is the sign for WATER.
Could it be true that every time the North Pole finishes a 25,820 cycle around the zodiac and stops at Aquarius, that the earth gets doused with water? During the last Age of Aquarius, the earth tilted down like a top that was running out of speed, ready to fall over as it was pulled by gravitational forces from our astral neighbors. Then the world fell on its side at one quarter turn. This put the old North Pole at the equator. The oceans of the world were pulled out of their basins and covered the planet with a colossal tidal wave as high as any mountain, and probably swept the earth at a speed that was faster than the speed of sound. The earth's surface was completely destroyed by water.
It really makes me wonder about our own modern civilization. How much worse can we get before the same judgment befalls us as it did the previous age of man? We live in a violent world with a zombie mentality. This generation interferes with computers, and the hypnotic world of digital t.v. with a steady diet of violent and bloody video games, and movies to gratify all of their senses. And they top it off with drugs, prescription or street drugs, makes no difference. They've definitely forgotten about God's laws, as our generation before them. They have replaced God with something else; something dark and foreign, and now there's no turning back. This generation is more rebellious than the last one, and if we live long enough to see another generation they will be more corrupt and rebellious than this one, but will we live long enough?
