Thanksgiving service

St. Matthew's UCC, 102 Church Road, Kunkletown, will host Pleasant Valley Ecumenical Network's community Thanksgiving service on Sunday, Nov. 18 at 3 p.m.

They will be collecting donations of nonperishable food and also taking up an offering. PVEN is in need of special donations for turkeys and hams for the holiday season.

Following the worship service, there will be a fellowship hour to meet our brothers and sisters involved with PVEN.

Donations of finger foods will be greatly appreciated.

Eldred Township Historical Society

The Eldred Township Historical Society will meet on Tuesday, Nov. 20 at 7 p.m. at the Eldred Township municipal building. It's a Social Night Out. Members will be bringing refreshments and treats for a social. Anyone is invited.

There will be no meeting in December.

There will be no meeting of the Chestnut Ridge Seniors until Dec. 13.

Exercising seniors

There is a low-impact exercise class for those over 55 at the Kunkletown Volunteer Fire Co. every Tuesday and Thursday from 9:30-10 a.m.
