Golden Agers
In Remembrance of Veterans Day, prayers were read by Bernice Strepko, Vice President Shirley Pavlick and President Ronnie Bazik.
New member Betty Tucker from Lansford was introduced to the group. Irene Hudasky led the sing-a-long with songs acknowledging all military branches.
Estelle Sverchek gave her experiences while an officer and RN in the military. She served most of her time in New Guinea and Australia
Meetings will be held during the upcoming winter months except in bad weather.
Next meeting will be held Monday, Nov. 26 at 1 p.m. at St. John's Slovak Lutheran Church Social Hall, Lansford.
Bingo is scheduled to be played.
Coaldale
Lions meeting
The Coaldale Lions Club will meet Tuesday, Nov. 27, at the Viennese Villa, 201 E. Ruddle St., starting at 5:45 p.m. President Robert E. Ames will preside. All members are urged to attend.
Nesquehoning
Crime watch
The Nesquehoning Crime Watch will hold a meeting on Monday, Nov. 26 at 7 p.m. at the Nesquehoning Borough Building.
All members are asked to make an effort to attend. New members are welcome.
