Fun and Friends at "Sneakers"
Dear Editor:
"Jack and Jill went up the hill"
It said once on some page
Are Jack and Jill now "OVER THE HILL"
At 70 years of age?
An answer to this question
Can be found at our local gym
You can see them working out there
Hoping to stay fit and trim.
Did you happen to find in your mail box
A brand new insurance card?
Maybe one that you didn't apply for
But one that you should not discard.
The Silver Sneaker program
Is paid for by AARP
Plus other insurance companies
So you may find that it's free
If on Medicare with a supplement
You'll possibly qualify
Come sit on a chair and exercise
And have some fun at the "Y"
Don't say "Oh my hips won't swivel"
Or "My back and knees will get sore"
You only do what you're able to do
So dig that card out of the drawer.
You'll meet our great group of people
In a program that's highly rated
And if "Laughter is the Best Medicine"
We're all "Overmedicated!"
