File for divorce

Terry L. Bachert filed suit for divorce from Brenda Bachert, both of 515 Arlington St., Tamaqua. They were married Sept. 4, 2003.

Sincere Watkins, 334 Pine St., Mahanoy City, filed suit against Pamela Opolsky, 511 W. Center St., Mahanoy City., They were married Dec. 26, 2006.

Brian Vick, 34 W. Center St., Mahanoy City, filed suit against Jennifer Vick, 506 E. Mahanoy St., Mahanoy City. They were married May 2, 1998.

Divorces granted

Jaclyn K. Pettrucci, 747 E. Broad St., Tamaqua, was granted a divorce from Jason M. Petrucci, 330 Mahanoy St., Tamaqua. They were married March 27, 2004.

Alison J. Verbosh, Pottsville, was granted a divorce from Mark A. D'Ambrosio, Malvern. They were married Oct. 16, 2010.

James B. Sipes was granted a divorce from Josephine Sipes, both of Pottsville. They were married May 31, 1997.

Ashley N. Thompson was granted a divorce from John R. Thompson, both of Pottsville. They were married Nov. 11, 2007.

Accident suit

Tammy J. Post and Edward J. Post, her husband, of 13 Walnut St., Middleport, filed a civil action against Frederick S. Schnerring, 211 Antique Lane, Orwigsburg, and Liberty Mutual Insurance Company, Wausau, Wis., for damages from an alleged two car collission.

According to the suit a car driven by Schnerring allegedly struck the rear of a car driven by Tammy J. Post on SR61 in North Manheim Township on Aug. 30, 2010. The Posts seeks damages of excess of $50,000 from both defendants.

Internet suit

Francis Deuizia, White Mills, Wayne County, filed a civil action against Rodney and Rosaria Stewart, Brooklyn, N.Y., for alleged breach of contract made over the Internet.

The suit claims Deuizia is owner of a property at 336 W. Mahanoy Ave., Mahanoy City, and offered it for sale at a public auction through the Internet Auction Website to the highest bidder and alleges the Stewarts submitted the highest bid of $30,025 and it was accepted and that they allegedly refused to go through with the sale. Deuzia is suing for alleged breach of contract and seeks damages of $33,392.75.

Foreclosures

Sovereign Bank, N. A., filed suit against Cory S. Snyder, formerly of 128 W. Rowe St., Tamaqua, and Paula Snyder, 223 Penn St., Tamaqua, claiming they allegedly have defaulted on mortgage payments on the property at 223 Penn St., and the principal balance remaining unpaid is $50,512.43 plus interest and costs.

Bank of America, Plano, Tex., filed suit against Kenneth Shankweiler claiming he have defaulted on mortgage payments and the principal balance unpaid is $152,590.42 plus interest and costs on property at 9 State Road, Barnesville.

Bank of America, also seeks to foreclosure on property of Renee P. Deskiewicz alleging the principal balance owed on a property at 412 E. Union St., Tamaqua, is $87,503.84 plus interest and costs.

U.S. Bank National Association, Columbus, Ohio, filed suit against Vicki J. Steigerwalt alleging she owes a principal balance of $31,621.04 plus interest and cost on the mortgage on the property at 113 S. Elizabeth St., Tamaqua.

Citifinancial of North America filed suit against Cyril P. and Rita L. Kupfrovich alleging they owe a balance of $31,308 plus interest and cost on the mortgage on the property at 31 Hilltop Road, Barnesville.

Bank of America filed suit against Jayne E. Bruno and Joseph P. Griffin, 201 E. Broad St., Apt. 4C, Tamaqua, alleging they owe a principal balance of $20,598.81 plus interest and costs on the property at 213 Orwigsburg St., Tamaqua.

Citimiortgage Inc., O'Fallon, Ohio, filed suit against Robert W. Bannon alleging a balance of $192,290.19 plus interest and costs remain unpaid on the mortgage held on the property at 11 N. Apple St., Barnesville.

Credit card suits

Cavalry SPV I, LLC, Valhalla, N.Y., filed suit against Theresa M. Fort, 333 Mush Dahl Road, New Ringgold, alleging a balance of $19,012.54 plus interest and costs remain unpaid on her credit card. Fort has answered the suit denying the amount claimed is owed and requests a jury trial.

Unifund Corporation, Cincinnati, Ohio, filed suit against Michael J. Hobbs, 532 Washington St., Tamaqua, alleging he owes a balance of $1,489,52 on his credit card plus interest and costs.

Capital One Bank, (USA) N.A., Glen Allen, Va., filed suit against Brian A. Witiszin, last known address, 65 Locust Lake Road, Barnesville, alleging he owes a balance of $16,195.24 on his credit card.

Back taxes

Tamaqua Area School District filed suit against Susan A. Kunkel, 72 Frankford Avenue, Tamaqua R.D., alleging she owes back school taxes on the property at 504 Rolling Mill Avenue, Tamaqua.
