Operation: Touch of Home
St. Matthew's UCC's benevolence for the month of October is Operation: Touch of Home (OTOH). OTOH is preparing for its holiday shipment and would appreciate any toiletries, magazines, books, cards, and other items to make up care packages for military personnel currently serving in Afghanistan and Iraq.
You can drop those items off, or a monetary donation to be used for postage for shipping, at the church on Mondays, Wednesday, Fridays from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. or Sunday mornings between 8-11:30 a.m.
St. Matthew's youth group
St. Matthew's youth group will be visiting Mazezilla on Saturday, Oct. 13. If you are between the ages of 10-18, and would like to join in the fun, call (610) 381-2442 for more information.
Exercise class
Low-level exercise classes for seniors at Kunkletown Volunteer Fire Co. are held every Tuesday and Thursday morning from 9:30-10 a.m.

Historical society
The Eldred Township Historical Society will meet on Tuesday, Oct. 16 at 7 p.m. at the Eldred Twp. municipal building.
