JROTC Boosters meeting
The next meeting of the Panther Valley JROTC Boosters will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 15 in the JROTC room. Elections will be held at this time.
All parents and guardians are welcome to attend.
Nesquehoning
Zion 100th anniversary
Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Nesquehoning, will be celebrating its 100th anniversary on Sunday, Oct. 14.
The occasion will be observed with a special service at 4 p.m.
The Rev. Dr. Samuel Zeiser will be the homilist. Dinner will follow at Macaluso's Lantern Inn. There will not be a morning worship service at Zion on Sunday.
Children's Halloween party
The Nesquehoning Recreation Committee will be holding a children's Halloween Party on Saturday, Oct. 27 at 5 p.m. at the Recreation Center.
Nesquehoning residents can sign-up their children on Wednesday evenings during Bingo.
Summit Hill
Lions Club to meet
Summit Hill Lions Club will hold its October meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 23 at St. Gabriel Italian Club, Summit Hill, starting at 6 p.m.
The guest speaker will be Alicia Silliman, zone chairperson.
First Vice President Judy Midas will conduct the business meeting. Reservations are necessary so please respond to Judy no later than Monday, Oct. 15.
