Named Distinguished Alden Scholar
Rosey Sheridan, a sophomore at Allegheny College and the 2011 salutatorian of Marian High School, was recently named a Distinguished Alden Scholar at the college for the 2011-2012 academic year. She is currently majoring in chemistry with a minor in music performance.
She currently performs as an alto with the Allegheny College Choir, Chamber Choir, and Chamber Singers.
Sheridan is the music chair for the Newman Association, a member of the Allegheny Christian Outreach program, and works as both a teaching assistant in the chemistry department and a clerk in the music department.
Last spring, she spent three weeks travelling throughout Germany, Austria, and the Czech Republic studying music.
Rosey is the daughter of Denise Skrabak of Lansford.
