Airman graduates from basic training

Air Force Airman 1st Class Christopher S. Zellner graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Zellner earned distinction as an honor graduate.

He is the son of Jeanette Zellner of Upper Nis Hollow Drive, Lehighton.

The airman is a 2007 graduate of Lehighton Area High School. He earned a bachelor's degree in 2011 from Kutztown University.
