File for divorce

Susan Merkel, 467 Nichols St., Pottsville, started a divorce proceeding against Charles Merkel Jr., 838 Lizard Creek Drive, Andreas, West Penn Township. They were married Sept. 23, 1989.

Kim Novack Simmonds, 207 Market St., Tamaqua, filed suit for divorce from Willliam S. Simmonds, 106 Market St., Tamaqua. They were married Dec. 9, 2008.

Divorces granted

Robin L. Greiner, Tower City, was granted a divorce from Edward J. Greiner, Pottsville. They were married Oct. 20, 2011.

Ashley M. Leone, Pottsville, was granted a divorce from Joseph M. Leone, Branchdale, Branch Township. They were married July 9, 2008.

Rebecca F. Phelps was granted a divorce from Michael Phelps Sr., both of Tremont. They were married Feb. 8, 1997.

Bench warrant

Donald George Ignatovic, 21, Shenandoah, had his bench warrant dissolved by Judge John E. Domalakes and bail was set at $1,000 percentage cash with special conditions: must reside at 528 N. Delaware Ave., Minersville, and cannot relocated without prior court permission, must not possess nor consume alcohol or controlled substance, must pay district attorney a $50 fee for issuance of the bench warrant and must remain employed.

The bench warrant was issued when he failed to appear in court for a pre-trial conference. He faces a charge of retail theft from Boyer's Market, Shenandoah.
