Lawrence Petrole, 724 Claremont Avenue, Tamaqua R.D., started a divorce action against Sara Petrole, 346 W. Blaine St., McAdoo. They were married July 10, 2004.

Jennifer K. DeMarco filed suit for divorce against Jason DeMarco, both of 218 Clay St., Tamaqua. They were married June19, 2004.

Foreclosure

U.S. Bank National Association filed against Michael D. Hannoch, 94 Grier Avenue, Barnesville, a complaint in mortgage foreclosure against his property claiming the principal owed on the mortgage was $68,478.81 plus interest and costs.

Dismiss charge

A charge of simple assault was dismissed against Keith Earl Wykle, 24., Pottsvile, by President Judge William E. Baldwin after District Attorney Karen Byrnes Noon filed a motion for a nolle proseque because the victim, Jennifer Purcell, Pottsville, did not wish to prosecute. Wykle did enter a guilty plea to a charge of simple assault on Mary Purcell, mother of Jennifer, and is awaiting sentencing.

Divorces granted

Sincere Watkins was granted a divorce from Pamela Opolsky, both of Mahanoy City. They were married Dec. 28, 2006.

John M. D'Alessandro, Port Carbon, was granted a divorce from Michelle L. D'Alessandro, Muncy. They were married Aug. 22, 2006.

Nicole M. Estermyer, Auburn, was granted a divorce from Matthew Estermyer, Hamburg. They were married Sept. 1, 2007.

Found guilty

Randy Jared Ratliff, 41, Mahanoy City, was found guilty by a jury of a charge of retail theft of merchandise from Redner's Warehouse Market in Shenandoah.

Judge John E. Domalakes deferred sentencing to Thursday, May 2, and ordered a pre-sentence investigative report prepared by the adullt probation department.

Yasheam Washington, of Philadelphia, an inmate in the correctional facility in Ryan Township, was found guilty by a jury of a charge of possession weapons or implements for escape.

Judge Charles M. Miller deferred sentencing to Thursday, May 16, and ordered a pre-sentence investigative report prepared. Washington was charged with possessing a six inch metal wire with a sharp point.

Bench warrant

Kyle Thomas Putalavage, 24, Pottsville, was brought to court on a bench warrant after failing to appear in court last May 24 for a hearing on a petition filed by his probation officer to remove him from the Accelerated Rehabilative Disposition (ARD) program.

At the hearing it was testified he violated terms of his probation by failing to report to his probation officer on a timely basis, was found in possession of methamphetamine drugs, and failed to report for outpatient counseling.

Miller removed him from the ARD program and he now faces trial on charges of driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol. He was placed in the ARD program by Senior Judge D. Michael Stine for 12 months and if he had completed his program the charge would have been removed from his record.
