St. John's Lutheran

Tonight at 7 p.m., St. John's Lutheran Church, 1 E. Abbott St., Lansford, will hold an informal worship service. This will be a spiritual, peaceful, evening service with Holy Communion. All are welcome to this relaxed, brief, musical evening prayer. For those who wish to come early, a free simple supper will be served at 6 p.m., followed by a brief adult Bible study at 6:30 p.m. For more information call the Rev. Coaldale

Spring cleanup

Coaldale borough will have its annual spring clean up day on Thursday, May 2. Large items will be picked up including washers, dryers, stoves, refrigerators, and furniture. There is a limit of five tires and tire rims. All items must have all chemicals removed and doors taken off. In addition, up to 10 bags of garbage will be collected.

Summit Hill

Food Pantry

The Summit Hill Food Pantry will be open on Tuesday, April 23 from 10 a.m. to noon. The food pantry is located in the Summit Hill Heritage Center on Hazard and Chestnut streets. There is to be no parking in the alley prior to 9:45 a.m. and absolutely no parking in the vacant lot at any time. Recipients are reminded to bring along shopping bags.
