VFW Auxiliary

The regular monthly meeting of the Ladies Auxiliary to Nesquehoning Memorial VFW Post 8008 was held Nov. 12, at the Post Home. Maureen Hirochek, the ranking officer, presided at the session.

The Lehighton Recreation Center has invited those who have lost a loved one to bring a picture of them to a ceremony from 5-7 p.m. Dec. 7 at the center.

Those who have not yet paid their dues are reminded to do so to treasurer Hirochek as soon as possible.

A bloodmobile collection was held on Nov. 20.

Megan Heckman is the Voice of Democracy entrant from Panther Valley High School. Her entry will be submitted to District 20 for further judging. Prizes will be ordered and a date set for awards.

The Mid-Winter Conference will be held at the Lancaster Post Jan. 17-18.

A meeting of District 20 was held Nov. 17, hosted by Tobyhanna Post and Auxiliary.

The annual Christmas Party will be held at Lengyel's beginning at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10. Members and guests are invited to attend.
