Kate McGinley marries Thomas Polischak

Kate McGinley, daughter of Patrick and Carol McGinley of Jim Thorpe, became the bride of Thomas Polischak, son of Ronald and Susan Polischak of Coaldale, on Nov. 9, 2013, at Whispering Pines Banquet Hall in Penn Forest Township.

The ceremony was officiated by President Judge Roger Nanovic II.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride chose her sister, Maggie Clay of Jim Thorpe, as her matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Sarah Coleman of Tuscarora, Angie Giglotti of Summit Hill and Amy Ciavaglia of Coaldale.

The bridegroom chose Kyle Zwiesdak of Summit Hill as his best man. Groomsmen were Eric Gunsser of Lehighton, Scott Cramer of Tamaqua and Bob Ciavaglia of Coaldale.

Following the ceremony, the couple welcomed family and friends to a reception at the Whispering Pines Banquet Hall.

The new Mrs. Polischak is a 2000 graduate of Marian Catholic High School. She is employed at Carbon County Communications Center in Nesquehoning as a 911 dispatcher.

Mr. Polischak is a 2006 graduate of Marian Catholic High School. He is employed by Kovatch Mobile Equipment in Nesquehoning.

The newlyweds are planning to honeymoon in Ocean City, Md.

They currently reside in Coaldale.
