Praise for Jim Thorpe board president

As a Jim Thorpe Area School Board director, I write to thank you for coverage of our reorganization meeting in the TIMES NEWS Dec. 4 edition.

Further, I would like to complement Dr. Clement McGinley for his continuing leadership as president of Jim Thorpe's board.

His high professional standards and calm demeanor speak volumes for educational leadership in our community.

It's an honor to serve with Dr. McGinley. His presence as an elected leader ought to encourage others who prize learning to step up, compete for election, and join us in this noble public service.

Finally, colleagues on the board demonstrated they also share this conviction by re-electing Dr. McGinley by a landslide vote of 7-1.
