Salem St. Paul's Lutheran Church

PVEN, the local food pantry, is in desperate need of all foods, including: canned vegetables, soups, tuna fish, pasta, cereal, canned yams, boxed stuffing, gravy, cranberry sauce (for holidays) etc. There is a barrel available at the church for donations.

Clothing is also needed, especially infant and toddler snowsuits and winter coats, men's winter coats, boys clothes (especially jeans) size 4-18, men's sweat pants (all sizes) and T-shirts, XL and XXL. Bring items to the church and place by the food barrel.

Volunteers are needed to drive cancer patients to treatment through the Road to Recovery program, Monday-Friday, mornings and afternoons. All that is required is a good driving record, some free time, and the desire to help cancer patients in Monroe County. Drivers may use their own vehicle or one of two society vans. Training is provided. Contact Jennifer Washney at 570-562-9749 extension 320 or Jennifer.washney@cancer.org.
