Lenten study
Pastor Suzanne Brooks-Cope will conduct a Lenten study at St. Matthew's UCC, starting Tuesday, Feb. 12 at 1 p.m. She will be using James Moore's "Give Up Something Bad for Lent."
The study will help people give up a bad habit or attitude for Lent.

Exercising seniors
There is a low-impact exercise class for those over 55 at the Kunkletown Vol. Fire Co. every Tuesday and Thursday from 9:30-10 a.m.
Chestnut Ridge Seniors
The Chestnut Ridge Seniors will meet on Thursday, Feb. 14 at 11 a.m. at the Kunkletown Vol. Fire Co. They will be celebrating Valentine's Day by crowning a King and Queen of Hearts.
Bring a bag lunch but there will be cherry pie and ice cream for dessert.
They will be playing bingo and there will be a quiz on the presidents.
Story time at Mrs. Bush's
Storyteller Kathy Long, Lehighton, will be at Mrs. Bush's Personal Care Homes, Inc. on Saturday, Feb. 16 from 10:30 a.m. until noon.
Kathy weaves creative tales to inspire and motivate people of all ages.
She has written many stories and has illustrated and published two children's books and two audio CDs with a selection of her original stories.
Long promotes the written technique of "Life Journaling" to encourage the young and the young at heart to write and preserve their stories for future generations.
This event is open to the public. The community and families are invited to join them for free as this storyteller captures an intergenerational audience, both important to the home's residents and the community.
