The engagement of Ashley Sabol to Jonathan Vavro has been announced by their parents.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Thomas and Donna Sabol of Beaver Meadows. She is a 2006 graduate of Hazleton Area High School and a 2010 graduate of Penn State University, where she earned a bachelor's degree in finance.
The prospective bridegroom is the son of Frank and Anne Vavro of Andreas. He is a 2006 graduate of Tamaqua Area High School and a 2010 graduate of Penn State University, where he also earned a bachelor's degree in finance.
Currently the couple live and work in Columbia, Md.
A May 2014 wedding is planned.
