Safe Haven Pet Rescue

Safe Haven Pet Rescue will have a meeting for volunteers on Tuesday, Feb. 19, at 6:30 p.m., at Cherry's Family Restaurant, Route 209 near Route 534, Kresgeville. For more information, email SafeHaven@epix.net.

Safe Haven Pet Rescue will hold an Adoption Day from 11 a.m.-3 p.m., on Sunday at Tractor Supply, Route 209, Brodheadsville. They will have many young dogs available for adoption.

They require a pre-adoption application with references and a home visit before adoption.

Safe Haven Rescue needs volunteers to help with adoption days, fundraising, transporting dogs to vets and groomers and fostering homeless dogs until they find their forever homes.

Free community supper

Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, Route 209, Gilbert, is offering their neighbors who have fallen on hard times, a free community supper. They serve the West End, Kunkletown, Kresgeville, and the Blakeslee areas. Blood drive

There will be a blood drive sponsored by the Miller Keystone Blood Center on Monday, Feb. 25 from 9 a.m.-7 p.m. at the Polk Township Volunteer Fire Co. in Kresgeville on Route 209. For more information call (570) 620-6065.

PTO meeting

Pleasant Valley Elementary School will have its monthly PTO meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 19 at 4 p.m. in the all purpose room.

Young at Heart Seniors

The Young at Heart Seniors meet will meet Tuesday, Feb. 19 at 10 a.m. at the Polk Township Vol. Fire Co.
