Dear Editor:

Well I said it, that the President and Congress will arrive at some settlement before the automatic tax increase and budget cuts take place January 1, 2013.

The intendment of what could have happened is that the contraction of the economy would have dire consequences, militarily and domestically.

Some counties and municipalities have already raised taxes and some school districts, with some law enforcement, fire personnel and some teachers being laid off or downsized.

Various articles I have read and most recently by Mr. William Reil shows that the politicians that increase their salaries, pensions and Vatican health insurance seems illegal or unconstitutional and not setting a good example.
