Golden Agers
The next meeting of the Panther Valley Golden Agers will be held Monday, Jan. 14 at St. John's Slovak Lutheran Church Social Hall at 1 p.m.
New officers for 2013 will be installed. Bingo is scheduled to be played.
Officers include president, Irene Hudasky; vice president, Shirley Pavlick; secretary, Tootsie Orsulak; and treasurer, Fran Golder.
Anyone 55 and older is welcomed to join the group. Membership dues are $3.
Lansford
St. John Lutheran
Wednesday Holden Evening Prayer Service with Holy Communion at St. John the Evangelist Lutheran Church, 1 E. Abbott St., Lansford, will begin at 7 p.m.
For those who wish to come early, a free simple supper will be served at 6 p.m. followed by a brief Bible study at 6:30. For more information, or if the weather is questionable, call the Rev. Marjorie Keiter, (570) 273-4038.
Service will not be held if school is cancelled or dismissed early due to bad weather on Wednesdays.
Nesquehoning
NWC meetings
Meetings of the Nesquehoning Woman's Club will not be held in January and February. The next meeting will be on Monday, March 4 at 7 p.m. at MapleShade Meadows Assisted Living Center.
MapleShade will serve as hostesses and they will serve dinner to the NWC members.
Director Melanie Goodman will be the guest speaker and there will be ballroom dancing, compliments of Madeline Ligenza.
The next executive board is set for Feb. 10 at 2 p.m.
