Bible Study

The Women's Bible study group of St. John's Lutheran Church, South Avenue, will meet on Wednesday, Jan. 23, at 6:30 p.m. in the Good Shepherd Room of the church. Group leader is Joan DeAcetis and the group is studying the book of Acts. The group is open to all women of the community.

Community dinner

St. Mark's Episcopal Church will host its monthly community dinner on Sunday, Jan. 27, from 4-6 p.m. A meal of spaghetti and meatballs will be served this month. If you have questions please call (570) 325-2241.

Vacancy

The Jim Thorpe Borough Council is accepting letters of interest for a vacancy on the vacancy board. Jim Thorpe residents should mail their letters of interest to the borough office and the envelope should be marked Vacancy Board. Deadline to submit the letters of Feb. 8.
