Poetry semi-finalist at national competition

Brittany Lowman, a senior student at Weatherly High School, has been named a semi-finalist in the National Amateur Poetry Competition, sponsored by Eber and Wein Publishing. Lowman's poem, entitled "My Lost Heart, Mind and Soul," will be published in a volume of contemporary poetry to be offered at Amazon's and Barnes and Noble's websites. The grand prize winner will be awarded $2,000.
