Graduates cum laude from Temple

Charles A. Hansler, son of Charles and Karen Hansler of Andreas, graduated cum laude from Temple University with a bachelor's degree, with distinction, in Political Science and History. He earned a 3.8 grade point average, placing him in the top 15 percent of his class. The 2009 graduate of Tamaqua Area High School is a member of Pi Sigma Alpha National Political Science Honors Society, Phi Alpha Theta National History Honors Society and the Golden Key Honors Society.

While at Temple, he served as policy director for the Temple College Democrats and was responsible for submitting a successful resolution to Temple Student Government, updating the Temple Student ID to be used as voter identification, under Pennsylvania's new Voter ID Law.
