Tamaqua couple married 63 years

Mr. and Mrs. Harry Snyder of 313 E. Broad St., Tamaqua, will celebrate their 63rd wedding anniversary on July 29. They were married in Zion's Lutheran Church, Tamaqua, by the late Rev. Charles Schlitzer.

Mrs. Snyder is the former Joan Schlosser. Retired, she was employed as Tamaqua borough secretary for 25 years. Her husband is a disabled veteran with more than 16 years of military service. He was last employed as plant superintendent at the former Diversified Metals in Hometown.

The couple has two daughters, Suzanne Blanchard of Gatesville, Texas, and Kim Kropp of Tamaqua.

They have three grandchildren: Christina Foeller in Alaska, Robert Foeller in Idaho and David Kotansky of Tamaqua; and two great-grandchildren, Hannah and Myriah Foeller.
