Receives degree from St. Joseph's University

Nickolas Julian of Lake Hauto has graduated from Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia with a bachelor of science degree in biology with a concentration in psychology on May 11.

Julian graduated summa cum laude with a grade-point average of 3.91. He was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society and was the vice president of the Pre-Medical Honor Society. He has been named to the dean's list for four consecutive years while attending Saint Joseph's University.

He will be attending Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Neb. to work toward obtaining his medical degree in the fall.

Julian is the son of Joseph and Beth Julian of Lake Hauto, and the grandson of Frank and Rita Julian of Lake Hauto and William and Carole Barber of Tamaqua. He is a 2009 graduate of Marian Catholic High School.
