TIMES NEWS intern on reporting team

Former TIMES NEWS intern Vinny Vella was part of a reporting team for The Denver Post that received the 2013 Pulitzer Prize for breaking news reporting. The team, comprised of about a dozen reporters, plus all of the sectional editors and copy editors, covered the mass shooting in Aurora, Colo., during the premiere of "The Dark Knight Rises."

Vella is currently working at the city desk of the Philadephia Daily News. He is a graduate of Ss. Peter and Paul School, Marian Catholic High School; and the 2012 class of LaSalle University. He is the son of Vincent and Linda Vella of Kresgeville.
