Slatington woman celebrates 90 years

Bertha Gersbach of Slatington celebrated her 90th birthday on June 15. She is the former Bertha Getz, daughter of the late Issac and Lauretta Getz of Union Hill. She is a twin sister to the late Beatrice (Getz) Long of Union Hill.

She was married to the late Willard Gersbach and has two sons, Willard "Bill" of California and Fred and his wife Diane of Slatington. She has two grandchildren, Eric Gersbach and his wife Gayle of Slatington, and Leah Gersbach of Conshohocken.

She was one of 10 children. The others are deceased. They were Fred, Henry, Curleigh, Walter, Clarence, Robert, Anita Becker, Leona Fisher and Beatrice Long.

A luncheon party was held at Sapore's in Lehighton to note this special occasion.
