Tax collection office
The tax collection office of Terry McElmoyle will be closed Saturday, June 29 through Saturday, July 6.
It will reopen Monday, July 8.
Paving project
The Jim Thorpe street paving project will begin on Tuesday, July 2, at 7 a.m. The rain date is Wednesday, July 3. Streets that will be paved are Main Street, Canal Street and Germantown Road. Residents living in those areas are asked to please move their vehicles if necessary, expect delays, and plan accordingly.
VBS closing
Vacation Bible School at St. John's Lutheran Church, South Avenue, will hold its closing exercises this evening, Friday, starting at 6 p.m. The children that attended the weeklong adventure, "Tell It On the Mountain," will present songs, projects, and a slide show. The evening will be topped off with ice cream sundaes.
