Lenten service

The next Lenten service will be on Wednesday, March 6 at Salem United Church of Christ, Gilbert. Soup will be served at 6:30 p.m. Bring your own sandwich. The service begins at 7:30 p.m. The guest preacher will be the Rev. Suzanne Brooks-Cope.

PVEN donation requests

Pleasant Valley Ecumenical Network (PVEN) is in need of nonperishable food items, especially peanut butter, cereal, jelly, rice, pasta, boxed corn bread mix, etc. It is also in need of paper bags, used to distribute the food. You can drop your donations off at St. Matthew's during office hours on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. and Sunday mornings from 8-11:30 a.m.
