Divorces granted
Kelly A. Kane, 336 Hazle St., Tamaqua, was granted a divorce from Michael J. Beaver, 42 Market St., Tamaqua. They were married Sept. 18, 2010.
Darleen R. Frantz was granted a divorce from Jason R. Frantz, both of Girardville. They were married Aug. 19, 2006.

James L. Hamby started a divorce action against Elizabeth M. Hamby, both of 479 Miller Rd., Zions Grove, North Union Township. They were married May 12, 1990.
Sues property owner
Gladys Neff, 216 N. Greenwood St., Tamaqua, filed a civil suit against Terry and Chris Ahner, 125 Longfellow Lane, Lehighton, for injuries suffered in an alleged fall while entering a property they own at 119 Pine St., Apt. 3, Tamaqua.
The suit claims on Feb. 26, 2011, Neff was ascending the outside stairs at 119 Pine St., and claims a brick from the step broke free causing her to lose her balance and twist her body and her left foot collapsing under her. This caused her to fall and suffer injuries to her hip and left foot. She claims she was a business invitee as the Ahnes are engaged in the business of providing rental property at theaddress.
She charges them with failing to make the premises safe and seeks damages in excess of $50,000.
