VFW Ladies Auxiliary
The regular meeting of the Ladies Auxiliary to Nesquehoning Memorial VFW Post 8008 will be held at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 14. President Amanda Breiner will preside.
Items on the agenda include the upcoming joint Installation of Officers at 7 p.m., Friday, May 24 and Memorial Day Services.
All members are encouraged to attend.

Golden Agers
The April 22 meeting of the Panther Valley Golden Agers opened with the inspirational message "An April Morning." Eight members were recognized for celebrating birthdays for the previous months. A moment of silence was observed for recently deceased member Josephine Kassak and victims of the Boston bombing and Texas explosion.
The Annual Memorial Mass for Deceased Members will be held Monday, May 13 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church, Summit Hill.
The Rev. James Burdess, spiritual adviser of the organization, will be the celebrant. Chorus members are asked to report at 10 a.m.
The public is invited to attend the Mass.
A meeting will follow the Mass at St. John's Slovak Lutheran Church, Lansford.
