Halloween party
St. John's Lutheran Church, South Avenue, held its annual Halloween party for the children of the Sunday School. There were 50 children in attendance to enjoy fun, games and refreshments. Prizes were awarded to the following: most original, Colton Steigerwalt; prettiest, Vlana Nieves; spookiest, Aidan Sterling; funniest, Riley McFayden; and judges choice, Asher Huffakker.
Judges for the evening were Will Rodgers, Jenny Angstead and Heike Hartman.
Community dinner
Sunday, Nov. 24, will be the free community dinner at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, Race Street. This will be a turkey feast and will be served from 4-6 p.m.
