Tamaqua couple celebrates 50 years
Anna Mae and Robert Bashago of Tamaqua are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.
They were married Oct. 26, 1963 by the Rev. Stephen Ponisciak in the former Saint Bertha's Church, Tuscarora.
They have one son, Robert Jr.
Anna Mae is a daughter of the late Amelia and Michael Pawk, Brockton.
Robert is a son of the late Kathryn and Peter Bashago, Tuscarora.
Robert retired from the Pottsville Republican newspaper after working 31 years in the printing department.
