Summit Hill
Food pantry
The Summit Hill Food Pantry will be open on Monday, Nov. 25, from 10 a.m. to noon. The food pantry is located in the Summit Hill Heritage Center on Hazard and Chestnut streets. There is to be no parking in the alley prior to 9:45 a.m. and absolutely no parking in the vacant lot. Recipients are reminded to bring along extra strong shopping/tote bags.
St. Paul's Lutheran
St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 123 W. White St., Summit Hill announces the following schedule for November:
On Nov. 17 the youth group will meet at the church at 5 p.m. for an activity night. Youth are reminded to wear "old" clothing. Anyone who would like to participate is asked to contact Donna Maynard in advance at 570-645-2953 so that adequate supplies can be made available. Volunteers are greatly appreciated.
Nov. 23 is National Suicide Survivors Day worship. Time to be announced.
On Nov. 24 Holy Communion service will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Marjorie Keiter officiating.
Sunday worship service at St. Paul's is held at 10:30 a.m. with Vicar David Lembo presiding.
Sunday school is held at 9 a.m. and all children are invited to attend.
Lansford
St. John Lutheran
Tonight at 7 p.m., St. John's Lutheran Church, 1 E. Abbott St., Lansford, will hold an informal worship. This will be a spiritual, peaceful, evening service with Holy Communion. All are welcome to this relaxed, brief, musical, evening prayer. For those who wish to come early, a free simple supper is served at 6 p.m., followed by a brief adult Bible study at 6:30.

Library food collection
The Panther Valley Public Library, 117 E. Bertsch St., will be collecting nonperishable food items during the month of November. Items collected will be donated to the local Shepherd House Food Pantry to help families in need. Food items may be placed in the collection bin in the library.
Coaldale
Lions to meet
Coaldale Lions Club will host a tri-club dinner meeting with Summit Hill and Nesquehoning clubs at 5:45 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19 at the Viennese Villa in town. President Robert E. Ames will preside.
The club will also host district 14-U governor, Liz McElwee.
Social time begins at 5 p.m., with dinner at 6 p.m. the program will follow dessert.
