Divorce granted

Michelle D. Leidy, nee McAloose, last known address, 630 Arlington St., Tamaqua, was granted a divorce from Michel D. Leidy, 630 Arlington St., Tamaqua. They were married Nov. 13, 2010.

Thomas Daniel Owen Jr., 206 Market St., Cumbola, Blythe Township, started a divorce action against Holly Ellen Owen, Bergen Nuremberg. They were married March 23, 2004.

David M. Dennison,1273 Catawissa Creek, Zions Grove, North Union Township, started a divorce action against Dzora Mayela Valezquez, 1909 E. Fairmount St. Allentown. They were married May 17, 1204.

Sentenced

Angel Luis Velazquez Perez, 45, Pottsville, who entered a guilty plea to criminal charges last September, was sentenced by Judge James P. Goodman to serve three to 12 months in the county prison, but after making a plea that his five children would not receive a disability check if he is incarcerated, Goodman changed his sentence to house arrest for three months followed by probation. He is also fined $100 for public drunkenness.

Perez had pleaded guilty to charges of disorderly conduct and drunkenness filed by Pottsville Patrolman Eugene M. Yourey.

Felix Ferrer. 40. Reading, pleaded guilty to criminal charges last September and was sentenced by Goodman to serve 18 to 40 months in a state correctional facility on a charge of possession of chemicals with intent to manufacture. He received credit for spending 325 days in the county prison. The charge was brought by Saint Clair police.

Luis Alberto Haddock, 21, Pottsville, pleaded guilty to assaulting Christopher Bove, a cell inmate at the county prison, and was sentenced by Goodman to serve 12 months probation to begin when his current sentence of three to 12 months expires.

Set bail

Bail for Robert Dale Rose, 54, Minersville, was set by Judge James Goodman at $25,000 percentage cash and he must reside with his niece, Tara Halupa, 825 N. 16th St., Pottsville, and cannot relocate without court approval, have no contact with the victim, Kyla Culbert, Minersville, shall refrain from using alcohol or drugs, and immediately seek gainful employment.

He faces four counts of simple assault, two counts each of intimidation of witnesses or victim and terroristic threats, and one count of harassment filed by Minersville Patrolman Jeffrey Bowers.
