Just one veteran's opinion

This is written the day after Veterans Day parade, Nov. 11, 2013.

Maybe it's me. I don't know.

But we let people in other countries burn our flag.

We let a few tell the majority of us that we can't say a prayer.

We've turned a holiday meant to honor those who have served this great country into a discount sale day.

We let people get away without showing the proper respect to our flag and not taking their hats off when we play the Star Spangled Banner.

In my opinion, this stinks.

I'm not a hero...just a guy who put in his time. But I honor those who are heroes. Our veterans!
