Megan Hoppes marries John Hine

Megan Hoppes, daughter of Dale and Dora Hoppes of Andreas, became the bride of John Hine, son of John Hine of Tamaqua and Jennifer Riggleman of Andreas, on Sept. 14, 2013, at Ben Salem U.C.C. in Lehighton. The Rev. Michael McGowan officiated the ceremony. Cathy Smith was the organist.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride chose Sarah McLaughlin as her maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Chelsey Fritz and Rachel Lindsey.

The bridegroom chose Travis Garris as his best man. Groomsmen were Richard Riggleman and Brett Piepmeyer.

Following the ceremony, the couple welcomed family and friends to a reception at the groom's mother's house in Andreas.

The new Mrs. Hine is a 2012 graduate of Bloomsburg University, where she majored in elementary education. She is employed as a substitute teacher in the Lehighton Area School District and as a teacher at Creative Kids Daycare in New Tripoli.

Mr. Hine is a graduate of Tamaqua Area High School. He is employed as the leader at East Penn Manufacturing (Deka Batteries).

The newlyweds reside in Andreas.
