Quakake couple celebrates anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. Gary Smudin of Quakake will celebrate their 38th wedding anniversary on Oct. 4. They were married in Christ Lutheran Church, Barnesville, by the Rev. Ernest Houston.

Mrs. Smudin is the former Shirley Neifert, daughter of the late Elden and Grace Neifert of Quakake. Her husband is the son of the late Algerd and Gladys (Lewis) Smudin of Tamaqua.

The couple has three daughters: Jamie, wife of Kory Beidleman of Clamtown; Leslie, wife of Ryan Keefer of Cressona; and Tracy, wife of Damien Earhart of Quakake.

They also have one granddaughter, Shelby Lee Beidleman; and three grandsons, Dalton Kory Beidleman, Owen Jon Keefer and Quin Jon Keefer.
