Preschool story hour
The Panther Valley Public Library, 117 E. Bertsch St., Lansford, offers a free, preschool story hour from 9:30-10:30 a.m. every Tuesday.
Stories, snacks and activities are provided for the children.
Coaldale
Lions to meet
Coaldale Lions will meet at 5:45 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22 at the Viennese Villa. President Robert E. Ames will preside.
All members are urged to attend this meeting.
First Congregational Church
Morning Worship will be held at First Congregational Church, Coaldale, at 9 a.m. Sunday, followed by Sunday school at 10 a.m.
The nursing home ministry group will conduct a service at the Hometown Nursing Center at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22.
On Wednesday, Oct. 23, Kids Klub will meet at 6 p.m. Choir rehearsal will be held at 7 p.m.
Harvest Home will begin Sunday, Nov. 3. Nonperishable food items will be accepted until the Sunday before Thanksgiving, when they will be distributed to the needy.
Halloween
Trick or Treat Night will be held in Coaldale between 6-8 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 31. Residents are asked to keep their porch lights on for the trick or treaters. All children should be accompanied by an adult.
