Named to dean's list, honor roll at Saint Francis Univ.

Anthony Damiano, the son of Anthony and Bonita Damiano of Hometown, was recently named to the dean's list and the Northeast Conference Academic Commissioner's Honor Roll for student athletes for the fall 2013 semester at Saint Francis University.

A sophomore, Damiano is majoring in premedicine with a doctor of physical therapy track.

At school, he plays on the Saint Francis Red Flash Football Team, a Division 1 FCS member, as a fullback; and is a member of the Uplifting Athlete, a nonprofit organization to raise awareness and funds for a rare disease.

Damiano is the grandson of Anthony and Marion Damiano and Mary McGorry, all of Nesquehoning and the late Russell and Marie Focht of Nesquehoning.
