Blue Mountain Health System bariatric surgeon, Vitaly Sawyna, MD, will offer a free educational seminar on Weight Loss Surgery at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 10, in the third floor conference room at the Palmerton Campus, 135 Lafayette Ave. in Palmerton.

The bariatric (weight loss) surgery program at Blue Mountain Health System can help individuals with severe obesity lose weight they have been unable to lose using other methods. Bariatric surgery is an option for people whose health and quality of life are being affected by severe obesity.

Weight loss surgery options including gastric bypass, lap-band and gastric sleeve will be discussed. The surgeon will answer all your questions about the process and procedure.
