Golden Agers
The Panther Valley Golden Agers will meet at 1 p.m. Monday, April 14 at St. John's Lutheran Church Social Hall.
Hospitality for April and May is Polly Evon and Lorraine Klepinnger.
Members are asked to bring in greeting cards for the military. Bingo is scheduled to be played.
Members are reminded that dues are now being collected.
Anyone 55 and older are encouraged to join the group.

Meed's UMC Holy Week schedule
The following is the Holy Week schedule for Meed's United Methodist Church, 126 W. Catawissa St.
April 13: Palm Sunday service will begin at 11 a.m.
April 17: Maundy Thursday, Tennebrae service at 7:15 p.m.
April 18: Good Friday service at 7 p.m.
April 20: Easter Sunday Sunrise Service at 6:30 a.m. with breakfast to follow.
The regular Easter Sunday service will begin at 11 a.m.
Free haircuts
Meed's is offering free haircuts to children on Saturday from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the church.
Historical society
The Nesquehoning Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 22 in the community room at Maple Shade Meadows.
Any interested person is welcome to come and help in the reorganization of the society.
The society is trying to keep the heritage of Nesquehoning living on for future generations to enjoy along with preserving the rich history of the valley.
